Men's Ministries

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
Proverbs 27:17

Mission Statement:

The Men's Ministry at the Port Orange Church of the Nazarene is "committed to building godly men to serve Christ in their home, church, career and community." We pursue this through a variety of initiatives, events and activities. The Men's Ministry places great emphasis on developing opportunities for all men that will foster an intimate personal relationship with God.

Weekly Men's Study

Join us in our weekly Bible studies on Wednesday nights. Food and fellowship begins at 5:45pm. Bible study begins at 7pm.

Accountability in Men's Lives

The Scriptures tell us that we are to sharpen one another like iron sharpening iron. Many of the men of Nazarene Church have developed accountability relationships with two or three other men. The concept is for a small group of men (no more than three or four) to get together or talk on a regular basis to get to know one another, pray together and ask each other the tough questions about how their personal life is going.

Fellowship Events

Opportunities for the men to come together in fellowship are planned on a periodic basis. These may include men’s prayer breakfasts, cookouts, football games and bonfire nights. These are excellent opportunities for men to get to know one another better and build relationships.

Monthly Men's Prayer Breakfast

The men of the Port Orange Church of the Nazarene come together on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 8am for a time of praise and prayer.  We take time to thank the Lord for all His blessing as well as come together in prayer.  After our time spent with the Lord we enjoy some homemade breakfast and fellowship.

Service and Home Repair Projects

Our church is blessed with many men who are gifted tradesmen, carpenters, plumbers, etc. The Men's Ministry will begin a partnership with the Church Board to draft a schedule of home repair and maintenance projects where men of the church will work together to provide needed support. This might be a home of a congregation member, or it might include work on a church or other buildings in our community.
